The Greg Mortimer

Built in 2019, the Greg Mortimer was named after their co-founder, utilizes some of the latest advancements in naval design & technology to revolutionize the small ship expedition cruising experience. The first passenger ship to feature the revolutionary Ulstein X-BOW®, this allows the ship to cross oceans more comfortably and efficiently.

Accommodating an average of 132 expeditioners per voyage within 76 comfortable cabins – all cabins have a view of the ocean and 85% of cabins have their own balcony. The ship also features a modern lecture lounge, multiple observation areas, zodiac launching platforms, a restaurant serving excellent meals, a gym and wellness center, Jacuzzi, a mudroom and many other amenities.

Sylvia Earle – the ideal base camp for exploration

With Aurora Expeditions, passengers can embark on an expedition aboard the ideal base camp for exploration – the revolutionary Sylvia Earle. Named after the renowned oceanographer, conservationist and explorer Dr Sylvia Earle, the Sylvia Earle is a floating ambassador for the conservation of the planet.

A dedicated Science Centre is the hub for a variety of Citizen Science programs, whilst each of the decks are named after pioneering female conservationists. Plus, the ship features the Ulstein X-BOW® for smoother and faster sailings, alongside multiple restaurants, bars and lounges, an outdoor heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, a gym, sauna, library, lecture theater, and expansive decks offering panoramic views.

Due to sail in November 2021 their new ship the Sylvia Earle honored the highly accomplished marine biologist, oceanographer and explorer, Dr. Sylvia Earle. Like the Greg Mortimer ship, the Sylvia Earle also features the revolutionary Ulstein X-Bow® for faster, smoother sailing and contains a unique glass atrium lounge inside the bow for stunning panoramic views. The ship also features a heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, where you can admire impressive scenery while watching the world go by from the top deck.
